Many churches are struggling to reach the next generation.But such programs come and go. What works in one context often does not work in the other. Maybe instead of formal programs aimed at next-generation offering, churches might consider how they can build a sense of community for generations.

Today's young adults are often lack a sense of community. With a divorce rate hovering at 50%, American Family has been in trouble for more than a generation. Young people who have grown up in families and forth from home to a parent has changed. They often move families and their parents, boyfriends or girlfriends have to deal with families. Some of these relationships to last a lifetime, many of them in the flow and know where they fit in this ever changing family context is difficult for a young person. Outside the nuclear family that many young people looking for a sense of community leaves.

This is just the next generation of American families lost their meaning fluidness of the community, but also a place for American tendency is often to the next step. According to the United States Census Bureau, 11.7 times the average American will move in their lifetime.Even the "right" to sit in the lunch room table trying to find some schools can be a challenge! All of this movement from one place to the next, a young person's sense of community vulnerable.

Churches of the community for young people to overcome this lack of familiarity can help by trying to make sense. Every church its own unique personality, churches, young people and to help roll out the red carpet that they feel wanted and accepted seats filled with people soon will get its next generation.

There are many ways to create a sense of community, but the easiest is the food and fellowship. When we share a meal, we shared together more than just nutritious food. We talk, we laugh, we tell stories, and we share around the table as we eat our lives. Food as the family atmosphere that we create together is less important than the breaking of bread. Are formed a friendship, the fellowship begins to spread to other areas of life. Soon we are going to the movies together, watching each other's homes and in the Superbowl card games until the wee hours of the morning. All of these types of activities that help form a sense of community.

The reason for building community is important because most of today's young people before they want to believe. It does not mean necessarily that they want to join the church organizationally. This means that they want the emotional involvement in the church.When they see the Gospel lived out, so they are ready to listen to it out. Churches that build a sense of community with each person in the community earn the right to share their theology.

If our church wants to reach the next generation, we start a program and must resist the urge to get caught in the cycle. Instead, we have pizza and a game at home for the night to invite some young adults. The rest take care of themselves as a community building for the Holy Spirit begins to do his job.
