New Delhi: The world's largest three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto unveiled its first four-wheel, RE60, intra-city, four-seater car. Equipped with a 200 cc gasoline engine, the RE60 is not competing for a small car Tata Nano, but the city car designed to compete with three-wheelers, Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj said.
"As a marketing position, we are anti-car company. Our main customers are the ones who are about three-wheelers," he said.
Bajaj Auto reported a vehicle last year, after the demolition of its ultra-cheap car will hit the road project 4-6 months. Bajaj Auto to re-state their three-wheelers in urban public transport in the early 1960s. In fact, the company may have to sell the RE60 in Sri Lanka. Bajaj Auto exports three wheelers 10,000 a month in Sri Lanka and 90% of them are used for private purposes, Bajaj said. "That in itself shows the potential of Sri Lanka alone."

Bajaj Auto has invited all of its international distributors, and representatives of the government of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Colombia at the Auto Expo to see RE60 and provide feedback.
RE60, some experts said could run into regulatory hurdles. "There is a large gray area in how it defines the vehicle in India," an analyst said domestic brokerage house.
Abdul Majeed, auto partner of Price Waterhouse, said Bajaj Auto to work with regulators to obtain a suitable solution. "This is a new product, a new segment | the regulatory authorities should be able to clear it, if there are no problems," he said.
RE60 is built Bajaj three-wheeler plant at Aurangabad initial capacity of 200 units per day. CNG and LPG variants of a certain plan to soon.
