Do not feel as though you and your partner need to communicate better? Do you sometimes feel like your partner is not the message that if you do not communicate? Why is it so difficult for men and women to communicate effectively? What are the differences between men and women in interaction?

Communication between men and women are different because of gender is different from each other. We are wired differently and have grown up in different ways, which creates problems of communication between men and women in later life. To men and women to communicate effectively is essential to understand the fundamental differences between how we talk to each other.

There are actually several different communication styles. And although we like to believe that we all communicate in the way that we do this often leads to confusion and stress.

Competitive Communication

Many men tend to be competitive communicators. The fact that they are oriented to power and domination, and they way they talk tends to convey this message. They also have a direct relationship, especially as it relates to decision making. In addition, they also like to help someone else make the decision.

Affiliate Communication

Women tend to fall more into that category, if they give a lot of other people in conversation. They prefer a collaborative communication and everyone is looking for his friends and family.

If you do not know what category you fall into, ask yourself if you like to talk, if you're not willing to do anything, or do you listen to all the corners, and then silence. In addition, determine if you like to make decisions on their own, or prefer to bounce ideas off other people.

Direct communication

Many men tend to like a direct connection. This means that if they want something, they immediately start to this initiative. What happens when this communication is that there is generally little room for misunderstanding.

Indirect communication

Women do not want to be so bold as to come now and say what they want, they tend to use indirect communication. These statements are typically vague and leaves much less interpretation. This is also how many misunderstandings can begin.

These two styles of communication usually does not work well with each other. This is because the direct form of communication can be offensive to some. On the other hand, one partner may not understand the obscure style of the partner, who prefers indirect communication that they can never really understand what their partner wants.

The key to working through a relationship where one partner in favor of direct communication and indirect communication are other reasons to use a lot of patience and understanding. This type of relationship is not doomed, but it may require a little more work. Being flexible and can go a long way to understand a partner who is different than your own communication style.
