Samsung, Google unveil latest Android phone

Hong Kong / SEOUL: Samsung Electronics unveiled the first smartphone running the latest version of the Google Android operating system, designed to connect the software to use tablets and smartphones.

Galaxy kick off the global launch of the Nexus in November and comes as competition intensifies between Samsung and Apple Inc., to win market share in smartphones, tablets and booming industry.

Samsung and Google introduced a high-end model of Hong Kong, after a delay in the launch last week, a tribute to the late founder of Apple Steve Jobs. Apple, Samsung has the largest customer of microprocessors.

It also marks the first major newspaper since Google announced plans in August to acquire Motorola's Mobility Holdings for $ 12500000000.

The deal is among hardware makers expressed concern that Google may favor over another Motorola handset vendors like Samsung, HTC and LG Electronics Inc., based on free software.

Google's Android mobile phone software - already the world's most used smartphone platform - 190000000 power equipment, compared to 135 million in mid-July.

The world's No.2 mobile phone maker said it plans to introduce a version of the Galaxy Nexus runs faster in Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks.

Samsung event was less than a day after Apple announced quarterly results that missed expectations for the first time in years, accusing the new iPhone rumors to hurt demand for September quarter.

Apple and Nokia are locked in a sharp legal dispute involving the 10 countries of smartphones and tablet PCs as they fight for their excellence in high-growth markets.

Samsung said on Monday that sales of its Galaxy Galaxy S and S II smartphones, plus 30 million units, with the once-laggard expected to overtake Apple's smartphone is the world's largest smartphone vendor in the third quarter.
