Wish Tel launches world’s first tablet in Indian languages

Wish Tel threw worldâ € ™ s first tablet in Indian languages, providing the opportunity for hundreds of millions of Indians to join the tablet revolution.

Designed and manufactured in India, the Wishtel  € ~ IRAâ € ™  € ~ and IRA Thingâ € ™ combine advanced multimedia, connectivity, and computing capabilities with a rich feature set in a smooth, light, yet very durable device. IRA is an entry level product with a resistive touch screen, IRA Thing is supported by a superior battery and is enriched with a capacitive touch screen.

"With the introduction of the IRA and IRA Thing Wishtel leads the way in driving tablet innovation in India," commented Richard Brown, VP-international marketing, VIA Technologies.

The potential for these devices is impressive, especially in areas such as education, he added.

The proponent of Akaash linked with IIT eco-system for its educational content and plans to offer 3 million digitized books in his tablet in a competitive cost. The tablets also come with a rich set of personal productivity, social media, communications and entertainment apps, making them an ideal solution for a wide variety of home, educational and business use.

The innovative eBook reader apps allow users to enjoy eBooks in Indian languages ​​on your device, as well as a growing range of course content for ICSE, CBSE and state board plus engineering, medicine and other higher education offerings.

With manufacturing plants in Maharashtra and Gujarat, Wish Tel plans to produce about 10,000 to 12,000 tablets each month. The company has a production capacity of 1 lakh units per year.

According to Satish Shukla, Director, Wish Tel, the company aims to extend its service centers from the present 350 to, 1200, with a goal of at least one service center in every state of India.

The company also aims to participate in Akaash2 auction and plans to launch tables that can run on solar energy as their strategy to overcome the power shortage in rural areas.

The tablets which promises to have a battery of four hours are designed and manufactured in India and are available at prices between Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 through over 350 distribution and support centers.
